To celebrate its launch, an event was held at the Edited space at the Topshop flagship, where some of the industry's top bloggers and journalists gathered to mark the occasion with a special talk, hosted by ShowStudio's Lou Stoppard.
With the promise of Champagne, marshmallows and fabulous company, I pulled out my new white pencil skirt, teamed it with a waterfall jacket and took my new barely-there blue shoes for a walk.
The edited space had been transformed into a vibrant media space, adored with shiny new copies of The Fashion Book. We were greeted with glasses of champagne and mojitos as we mingled with other fashionista's, before promptly being seated ahead of the talk. I couldn't resist picking myself up a raspberry and champagne marshmallow from The Marshmallowists, and it most definitely didn't disappoint.
The talk itself was hosted by Lou Stoppard, fashion editor of ShowStudio, who asked panelists Stephen Jones, Shonagh Marshall & Heather Sproats everything from who they were most excited about featuring in the book, to where they're drawing inspiration from. Stephen Jones even hinted at the possibility of the McQueen exhibition coming to London! *holds breath with sheer excitement*
After some further mingling with the other guests I picked up my copy of The Fashion Book and headed home. My new shoes did not let me down.
The book is really the ultimate who's who of the fashion industry, and I really recommend it as the ultimate reference guide.
