So wrapping up in our winter layers we braved the blustering and heavy rain and made our way into Mayfair. I've written/talked about Mahiki plenty enough for you to know the drill. The Dover street restaurant and tiki themed bar/club has been in residency for seven years now and still remains one of the most popular haunts in London.
We were greeted with invitations to complimentary cocktails
and headed to the basement floor. The décor was much the same as always, but
the booths, which are normally filled with glamorously dressed boys and girls,
were replaced with mini stalls of the latest brands in lingerie, hosiery and
loungewear.
Sarah and I grabbed a cocktail, a deliciously sweet red
number, and began exploring. We browsed rails of new season product, absorbing
as much information as we could while mingling and snapping away with the other
bloggers.
Blackspade quickly took my eye. Their new range of
lounge/underwear had girls swarming round it, and I was eager to see what the
fuss was about. The brand is very new, but it makes beautifully crafted
camisoles and underwear from soft jersey. At the event they were showcasing two
styles; a rich navy with a satin trim to the neck, and a soft chocolate hue
with lace detailing. I eventually chose the chocolate, but I’ve already got my
eye on some of their other pieces, which are all stocked online here http://www.needundies.com/
The event quickly filled up and soon it was time to take our
seats for the show. The show featured collections from Pamela Mann hosiery, the
luxury sarong boutique, and one of my favourite swim collections from Makan.
After the show Sarah and I chatted over a further cocktail
and mused the collections while picking up some Crabtree and Evlynn goodies.
And soon the event came to a close and we were left dreaming
of sun, sea and beautiful lingerie.
Thank you to
Blackspade and PRgeenie for the gifting of the Blackspade products
