But last night was my favourite holiday. Ok so its not actually actually a holiday, but it definitely should be. Finally toasting the start to another year in the city, a new apartment, and just getting through all the trials of last year, the girls and I headed to our favourite nighttime haunt, Mahiki. During our summers outside of the city, the tiki cocktail bar and club opened a restaurant, a lobster restaurant no less. So where better to celebrate than by checking it out.

My gorgeous best ones
We were seating in an alcove of hawaiian decor and tropical interiors, that exported us into a summer paradise. We naturally ordered cocktails, a snow crab sling for me and Mayfair honeys for Melissa and Pippa and chatted about our plans for the year, as well as some of the most hilarious moments from last year while we waited for our food.
I ordered the lobster roll, which arrived in a bright red basket, american style and some of the nicest chips I've ever eaten. The presentation was simple, but the food was cooked to absolute perfection, and even as the room began to fill up with partygoers, the attention and service we received did not falter once.
Afterwards we decided to skip on dessert and continue with the cocktails, ordering ourselves a bikini blast before heading downstairs and partying the night away.
Dinner and drinks came to about £40 each, but could easily have been twenty had it not been for our cocktail loving. For the full Mahiki experience though, cocktails are a must... the Honolu honey is an absolute dream. For more information and a browse of the menu visit the Mahiki menu here http://www.mahiki.com
