Northern girl living the Southern dream

A very festive Southbank

I've been dying to do this post for a long time.

I was blessed last year to call the Southbank home and have so many fond memories from that time that I was unbelievably excited when Pippa suggested we head over for some dinner and a mooch along the Christmas markets. What London gal can resist the call of mulled wine and fudge after all?

After a productive day earlier, I couldn't resist popping along to see my favourite man who was parked up at Westfield before heading home to meet Pippa ahead of our festive evening

We wrapped up warm, stealing hats and jumpers from Melissa's wardrobe, before heading out on our adventure.

The Southbank was the place where Pippa, Melissa and I first became soulmates so I absolutely adore heading back with the girls. Plus the view and food is fantastic. We headed to Giraffe first, Salad for Pippa and a burger with sweet potato fries for me and a bottle of white. I'd have taken a photo but decided my instagram and blog feed has had enough burger porn recently. It was so good to catch up with Pippa as although we live together, we can sometimes go days without bumping into each other, the trials of a busy London life!

We then meandered down the markets, admiring the hidden treasures and beautiful gifts and dribbling over the gingerbread and chocolate fountains, before settling down with a glass of mulled wine and a blissful view of central London.

Is there anywhere in the world better? I don't think so!
