Northern girl living the Southern dream

London Fashion Week Continued

It was easy to pick my favourite show to share with you from Day Two. Melissa and I had midday tickets to Xiao Li, a merit award winner and first time shower at LFW this season. We were sat at the top of the catwalk, with perfect views of the looks as they came out and once sat, waited excitedly for the show to start.

As Daughter's haunting cover of 'Get Lucky began, the first look descended onto the catwalk. The collection was a lot more fantasy than wearability, with an eclectic mix of contras tic materials from moulded knits to silicon to chalky PVC. The icelandic backdrop provided the perfect inspiration for the off white, ivory and snow blue palette. Deeper shades of blue provided a cool and solitary interjection.

Meshed materials and sculpted latex panels formed biker jackets and exaggerated shift dresses, and the final look, a voluminous mesh dress even had LED technology running through it. I was in awe. And am already excited to purchase my own pvc dungarees.

Some front row fun wearing mesh and owl print.
